Books & Bubbles

Books & Bubbles is where storytelling meets atmosphere, bringing people together for an evening of conversation, connection and unforgettable stories in a beautifully curated setting.

As a signature Words Out West event, Books & Bubbles offers a unique experience that blends engaging discussion with a relaxed, social environment. From powerful conversations to shared moments over a glass of bubbly, it’s an evening designed to bring stories to life in a different way.

In 2026, Night of Crime delivered exactly that. Guests enjoyed an immersive evening featuring Hedley Thomas and Matthew Condon, two of Australia’s most respected voices in investigative storytelling. Their insights into major investigations, untold stories and the realities behind the headlines created a compelling and thought-provoking experience that had audiences hooked from start to finish.
